The Mandalorian bounty hunter returns with the target to collect his reward, but what does he value more – money or morals?
Spoilers for episodes 1 and 2.
Now that the existence of Baby Yoda has taken the world by storm, his well-being is of utmost importance, and what this episode does incredibly well is build tension around the survival of the infant. Having returned with the child to his employer, the Mandalorian delivers his for his reward but spends the episode contemplating his choices.
All of this builds toward a satisfying and exciting shootout sequence at the end of the episode with an almost portals-like sequence being lifted from Avengers: Endgame. It isn’t on the same scale, but incredibly entertaining nonetheless.
Our main character does get a nice new upgrade thanks to his reward and he almost resembles a bounty hunter that hasn’t existed for a couple of decades by this point (Jango Fett).
This episode has more action than the previous two and acts as a nice conclusion to the first part of this season, so there’s not a whole lot I can say without ruining some of the finer moments in the episode, as it’s better to see it for yourself.
