Substitute Richie Laryea won a penalty for TFC after he was tackled in the box by defender Ronald Matarrita in the 88th minute.
Pozuelo made his MLS debut against NYCFC in March, and chipped Johnson from the penalty spot for his first goal for the club. He did the same thing on Wednesday, this time when more was on line.
Toronto will face Atlanta United on Wednesday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
