The singer-turned-actress is the next star to align herself with Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’.
After a few weeks of ongoing speculation as to who will take up the claws of the legendary character of the Batman mythos, Zoe Kravitz has officially been signed on to play Selina Kyle/Catwoman.
Following in the paw-prints of Anne Hathaway, who played the character in Christopher Nolan’s 2012 blockbusting The Dark Knight Rises, Kravitz will dawn the iconic black latex to play sly alongside Robert Pattinson’s Batman.
Her role in the film is still unknown, but the rumoured plot has Batman tracking down a killer in Gotham City who is copying murders that have been solved years prior. The story will reportedly include a number of characters from Batman’s rogue gallery, such as The Penguin, Riddler and the Mad Hatter. It seems like Catwoman could play in a role in helping Batman track the killer.
Last month, Jeffrey Wright had signed on to join the cast list as well as Commissioner James Gordon. Jonah Hill is also rumoured to be in talks to play Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin.
The Batman is written and directed by Matt Reeves and will release in 2021.
