A male victim in his 30s died just past midnight on Monday morning after sustaining serious gunshot wounds approximately two kilometres east of Humber College’s North Campus, police say.
Toronto Police responded after reports indicated shots were fired at John Garland Boulevard and Jamestown Crescent, confirming later that there were 10 bullets fired.
No suspects have been found at this time but police are searching for witnesses, going door-to-door. The police service has asked anyone with information to get in contact.
A number of calls were made after shots were fired in the area, Toronto Police said in a tweet at 12:42 a.m., adding that they were their way. Minutes later, police said they found a man with “life threatening” injuries.
The shooting comes less than a month after shots were fired closer to North Campus inside a townhouse complex off of John Garland Boulevard.
