Toronto FC draw Fire in Bridgeview finale

Toronto FC tied the Chicago Fire 2-2 on Sunday in their last game at SeatGeek Stadium.

The Chicago Fire were main tenants in the stadium since 2006, and will play future seasons at Soldier Field in downtown Chicago.

Jozy Altidore thought he opened the scoring in the 14th minute when he scored off his own rebound, but the goal was called off when the assistant referee called for a push on Altidore against the Fire defender.

Altidore gave a 1-0 lead to the away side when he scored in the 59th minute. Marky Delgado sent a pass through to the striker who turned and kept his shot low to get his 11th goal of the season.

Substitute Aleksandar Katai tied it at 1-1 in the 68th minute when his shot to the far post beat goalkeeper Quentin Westberg.

Westberg came out in the 75th minute as a precaution after receiving treatment for a possible concussion.

Chicago took a 2-1 lead in the 77th minute when Fabian Herbers scored. Herbers scored a header which beat substitute keeper Alex Bono, who made his 100th club appearance.

Centre back Omar Gonzalez got his first TFC goal in the 80th minute to tie the game at 2-2.

The Reds are now unbeaten in nine straight league matches. They will look to make it 10 as they host the Columbus Crew at BMO Field on Sunday in their final regular season game.

Kick-off is set for 4 p.m.
