Toronto FC clinched a playoff spot on Saturday after tying LAFC 1-1.

Tsubasa Endoh started his second game in a row and opened the scoring in the 19th minute off a pass from Jozy Altidore.

The Reds played tight for the majority of the match and were under LAFC pressure for most of the second half. Quentin Westberg had to make numerous saves throughout to keep his team up 1-0.

Latif Blessing earned a penalty for Los Angeles in injury time when Chris Mavinga made an attempt to clear the ball but instead caught Blessing in the chest.

Captain Carlos Vela converted the penalty to score his 29th goal of the season.

Toronto’s spot in the playoffs was confirmed after Montreal Impact lost to the LA Galaxy.

Their next league game is on Sunday in Chicago against the Fire.

Kick-off is set for 5 p.m.
